10 Habits That Made Me Sharper & Smarter

  1. Grocery Math — I look at the price of every item I buy and then try to figure out the price before I get to the cash register or while waiting in line. If you are buying too much it’s also okay to round.
  2. Getting Enough Sleep — Getting the exact amount of sleep you need, no more, no less, should be a given.
  3. No TV — The only time I watch TV is for Sport Events (such as the World Cup or the Olympics). You would not believe the difference it makes.
  4. Positivity/Optimism — A positive outlook on life can do a lot more for you than you think. Psychology shows us this all the time with various studies & experiments but very few take it seriously.
  5. Healthy Living — Nutritious food, lots of water and regular exercise are the core to a healthy mind. Your body is your temple, treat it as such.
  6. Getting Busy — I have found the worst thing for your mind to be “down-time”. During this time you are just inviting your mind in to grow accustomed to slowing down and to follow another persons schedule. Keep your schedule full, which doesn’t mean only filling it with productive activities!
  7. Production > Consumption — I try to spend 2 hours producing for every 1 hour I consume anything. This means writing, drawing or creating something that I could give to others. Creation
