  1. Become A Master At Something — When you master any skill or become phenomenal at something you do you will have something to fall back upon should your self esteem be hurt.
  2. Do Something That Scares You — Beat an old fear, forgive an old enemy, apologize for inflicting past wounds. Doing what scares you proves that you are stronger than the fear.
  3. Stand Up For Something — Stand up for a person in public or go against the flow in some way. Be the first to act, try to take initiative or leadership, and stop waiting to react.
  4. Completely Drain Yourself — Do this either physically or mentally by spending so much of your energy that you truly cannot do any more. Only do this every once in a while though, as you will need some time to recharge.
  5. Push Your Limits — When you exercise, do one more set. When you are working, stay focused for 10 more minutes. When you are about to go to bed, do one more thing. Push your own limits a little bit each day to prove to you that you can do more than you think you can.
  6. Live Every Day As Best As You Can — Each day lived well is another day you can add to the positives when you think back upon your life.
  7. Do What You Said You Would — If you can honor your own word you will gain yourself as an ally. In times of darkness you will remember that you were able to do everything you set out to do, which will empower you to face whatever may come.
  8. Remind Yourself Of What You’ve Overcome — There were plenty of moments you could not see beyond, many that you thought would be the end, yet you lived past all of them. You are still here.
  9. Live Unapologetically — Do what you want to do without asking for permission. Should you make a mistake or a miscalculation, be responsible enough to apologize but do not ask for permission for everything you do.
  10. Fight For What You Believe In — Nothing boosts ones own self esteem more than to fight, suffer and sacrifice for those things one believes in. Stand up to life and everyone who dare opposes you. Stay strong with your ideals!
  11. Live By Your Own Means — Make your own choices and live by them. It may not end well all the time, but it will make you feel in control of your own life. It will make you free.
