11 Ways To Pull Yourself Out Of Procrastination And Into Productivity

- Raise Your Awareness — Most of the time you procrastinate because you get sucked into things one after another without realizing you have a choice. The only way to create an opportunity to regain control is to become aware you have a choice. Create a break. Take a breath. And then actively chose what you will do, be it work or distraction.
- Know Your Why — What is it that you work for? What amazing things await you at the end of the road on which you work really hard at everything you do? Is that ending worth the effort and worth abandoning your procrastination?
- Tough Love — When you were a child, you may have been lucky enough to have had parents that did not let you get away with not studying. If you didn’t, you likely knew someone who had such parents. Those parents were showing a kind of tough love by forcing what was best on their child. Copy these parents and do the same things to yourself. Do not let yourself get away with less than what you are capable of.
- Unconditional Love — Keep “loving yourself” the baseline. You could do nothing at all, fail at every twist and turn, and still be worthy of your own love.
