12 Ways To Stop Overthinking & Start Taking Action

- Screw It — We do not know what may happen. We think we do, but oftentimes we worry and therefore bet against ourselves. Worry is arrogant, for it assumes we know we will fail. Take a deep breath, close your eyes, say “Screw it” and just do it.
- Be Willing To Fail — Often we do not do things because we are afraid to fail, keeping us from actually trying it. When we become comfortable with the idea we may fail, we also become less attached to the outcome, which often results in us doing what we want to do.
- Believe In Yourself — No matter what happens, success or failure, we can make it through. We have made it through worse and whatever we are about to do will not be the end. Remember that.
- Go For Everything — As counter-intuitive as this may sound, when we stop doing something it is often because we are not trying hard enough. That is to say we only focus on a few areas of life instead of every area and then feel bad that our life is not improving. Your life is uplifted by every single thing you do just as it is held back by the single worst area in life. Therefore, if you want your life to improve you must do everything you want, not just one thing.
