13 Quick & Easy Study Tips For Those Wanting More Concentration

- Not listening to lyrical Music. Lyrics will distract your mind as they are processed by similar/shared areas of your brain that process written language, meaning your mind cannot, at the same time, listen to something and read something different.
- Having a dedicated place to study that is outside your usual places you use to relax to avoid falling into similar routines. (This can just be a different room, but ideally it is something more dedicated).
- Removing other thoughts, such as about things you could be doing or would rather do. You decided to study now. Commit to that and leave the rest for later.
- Actively choosing to refocus. “I choose to focus on studying now” is often enough to get you back on track. If you only listen to your passive choices you will fall into more procrastination than action.
- Taking more 1-minute breaks. All you need to do is turn your chair around and stare at the wall to allow your brain a breather. Do not, however, take breaks by engaging your mind differently. Let it breathe.
- Stretching and Drinking Water more regularly for increased Oxygen flow to your brain is vital.
