15 Easy-To-Follow Tips That Will Make You A More Confident Speaker

  1. Know You May Be Wrong — Stop trying to protect yourself from being wrong and say what you want to anyway.
  2. Admit Your Mistakes — With the first tip being said, if you then can also admit to your mistakes when you make them, as in: taking your Ego out of the equation, then you will be far more likely to not care and, therefore, speak confidently.
  3. Do Not Take Things Personally — Most of the “dangers” in conversations come from taking things too personally that are not meant to be taken personally.
  4. Do Not Expect A Response — Say what you want to say and move on with your day. Get it out because you want to get it out, not to illicit some form of a response.
  5. Stop Caring, Start Enjoying — Conversations should be fun or interesting and speeches should teach something or be enjoyable to listen to. When you remember that that is the main point the details will fall to the wayside.
  6. Be Aware Of Your Audience — You do not speak for everyone. The reason you hold a conversation or give a speech is for those that listen, not those that do not.
  7. Choose To Be Confident — Simply walk in assuming everyone wants you there and respects that you showed up. Or speak with confidence simply because you choose to with no reason at
