15 Social Etiquette Rules You Need To Start Following For You

  1. Do Not Be On Your Phone — If you decided to be there, be there.
  2. Don’t Listen To Loud Music — The worst thing on a train or in the bus is sitting next to someone blaring music into their ears so loud that I can hear every word. Do not be that person.
  3. Change Your Ringtone — I am so tired of hearing the same ringtone on every phone and then watching a dozen people shuffle about in panic as they try to get to their phone, only to realize it wasn’t theirs that rang.
  4. Say ‘Thank You’ Every Chance You Get — One simple ‘Thanks’ can go a long way; say it more often than not.
  5. Treat People With Crappy Jobs Nicely — Of course some will give you crappy customer service if they have a crappy job. It has nothing to do with you and they do not need your negativity on top of everything else. Ask yourself first if you would be able to put on a smile if you were doing their job before you judge them for not having one on themselves.
  6. Do Not Force Yourself To Attend An Event — Nothing will be gained from you being miserable and making everyone else miserable as well.
