- My Cat Jumping On My Lap As I Work — Especially in the colder months it is a nice way to stay warm and feel connected.
- Seeing A Nice Comment/Message — Working alone in an office can get very lonely, and a message of appreciation is always appreciated. I have a lot of these screenshotted and saved in a folder.
- Naps — 10 minutes is more than enough for me, and often is like pushing the Reset button.
- Hugs — The deeper, stronger and longer the better.
- Getting Up Early — Ideally, to see the sun rise. If I can wake up with the sun and get my day started as it actually starts, I feel on top of the world.
- Chocolate — Not too much, but just enough to fill that craving.
- Meditation — Just like naps, this is a good Reset. Meditation resets the mind more than the body, but is also always a pick-me-up.
- Snow/Thunderstorms — I always feel calmer with them. It feels as though the rain or snow washes away the stress of the world.
- Being Thought Of — This could be from a message a friend sends, a coffee my wife brings into the office, or simply a hello from a neighbor.
- RK Moments — Random Kindnesses. I prefer those that are unseen, which just makes them harder to notice, but I believe…
