20 Things That Make Me Feel Better

- Watching a Good Movie after a Hard Friday. Ideally, after having worked a lot so that I really feel I deserve it and with nothing ahead for the next day.
- Drinking Hot Chocolate in a Storm. Doesn’t matter whether it is a rainstorm or a snowstorm, both work fine.
- Getting Compliments. Personally, I think this happens far too rarely to everyone, as a good compliment can make a week.
- Working Harder than planned. Doing an extra hour, going until the brain stops producing coherent thoughts, or until the very late hours of the night all feel incredible afterwards.
- Training until you cannot lift a Finger. It’s the idea of pushing beyond the comfort zone and to your true limit that always feels great.
- Listening to the Ocean. Lying on the beach, getting comfortable and just watching the waves crash into the shore is more than therapeutic.
- Naps. I am all for Naps! Especially a good, long Nap (30 or 90 Minutes) in the middle of the day is so refreshing!
- Hugs. Especially the deep, “manly”, bro-hugs that squeeze you real tight.
- Having a Great Client Call. A call with laughter, helpful advice, and ideally something that gets them to a paradigm shift feels to me like I am doing something worthwhile.
