20 Things That Make Me Feel Better

  1. Watching a Good Movie after a Hard Friday. Ideally, after having worked a lot so that I really feel I deserve it and with nothing ahead for the next day.
  2. Drinking Hot Chocolate in a Storm. Doesn’t matter whether it is a rainstorm or a snowstorm, both work fine.
  3. Getting Compliments. Personally, I think this happens far too rarely to everyone, as a good compliment can make a week.
  4. Working Harder than planned. Doing an extra hour, going until the brain stops producing coherent thoughts, or until the very late hours of the night all feel incredible afterwards.
  5. Training until you cannot lift a Finger. It’s the idea of pushing beyond the comfort zone and to your true limit that always feels great.
  6. Listening to the Ocean. Lying on the beach, getting comfortable and just watching the waves crash into the shore is more than therapeutic.
  7. Naps. I am all for Naps! Especially a good, long Nap (30 or 90 Minutes) in the middle of the day is so refreshing!
  8. Hugs. Especially the deep, “manly”, bro-hugs that squeeze you real tight.
  9. Having a Great Client Call. A call with laughter, helpful advice, and ideally something that gets them to a paradigm shift feels to me like I am doing something worthwhile.
