6 Ways To Fight Your Fears So They Do Not Win
Fear is merely a construct of the mind created in order to protect us from harm.
In the old ages fear used to be crucial for our survival as we would be safer the more afraid we were.
This let us to the blooming society we live in today and at the top of the food chain.
Yet… fear still remains, even though it completely changed form from back then.
To understand how to conquer it we must first look at what it has become:
The basis of fear is still the fear of death, although it became a lot more complex as time went on.
Here are some examples:
- You are afraid of talking to a person at a bar because you feel like you are going to get rejected. This rejection might turn into a lonely life which decreases chances of survival and leads to social isolation.
- You are afraid of going for the job you desire because you do not know if you can make a living doing it. A couple years down the line this may mean you end up broke and homeless.
- You are afraid of speaking in front of a large audience because you could mess up. Another fear of rejection and being left out of the group, which, in the old ages, meant being on your own, and therefore, dead.
