  1. Spend As Much Time As Possible On It — Passion is built by being passionate first. Invest as much time as you can in a subject and you won’t only dive deeper into it but will also gain more from your investment. Time invested regularly and over a long period leads to passion.
  2. Play Around — Don’t make your time investment a chore by saying you “Have to” do this or that. Instead just go for what brings you joy within that topic. Have at least 1 hour a day where you just explore the subject freely with no point, intention or goal.
  3. Improve — Your main focus and intention should be on improving over anything else. Don’t try to produce something amazing, don’t try to brag with it or raise your ego. Focus on becoming better than you were yesterday, even if just by a tiny bit, because, remember, this bit is compounding.
  4. Fill Your Day With It — In addition to #1 you want to make as many things in your day relate to the subject you want to become passionate about. Change your home to reflect the subject, read books on it, watch YouTube videos on it, wear clothes that represent that subject, etc. Make every last detail relate so it triggers your brain to think about the subject as much as humanly possible.
  5. Learn To Procrastinate — At this moment you have certain procrastination strategies you are using to get away from the subject that interests you. When you learn what these strategies are you gain the control and power to use them against themselves. Meaning you can learn to procrastinate on procrastinating. When you read a book next time, instead of putting it down tell yourself “Just 5 more minutes”.
  6. Move — Motion creates Emotion”. So says the Embodiment Theory of Psychology. When you move quickly, when you have a full day, when your day is filled with just one subject you will create an emotion that fits that. Your body is forced into a ‘Fight or Flight’ mode, but with no reason to Fly it will choose to fight, forcing the emotions through that help you handle this day. It may not always be stress-free or pretty, but it will get you to go much further much faster, adding to all the points above.
  7. Let Go — Know that no matter how deep you get with your passion, you do not have to do anything. This is your choice. No one is forcing you. The point of building a passion is to have something you love to do. Now if what you are doing makes you miserable then you lost the point. When that happens take a step back, be willing to let go of what you invested so much time into and move on to better things. If it truly was your passion you will return with the understanding of what you missed. If not, then it was good that you cut your losses when you did.
