7 Skills To Study In School That Make You More Money Later

  1. Listening — Particularly active listening. The more you can listen between the lines, the likelier you are to find information that can get you ahead. You can study this in every class by simply asking why your professor talks about what they are talking about.
  2. Focusing On The Important Things — What is the bigger picture? Why learn what you are learning? And, what part about what you are learning is the most important part? There is a reason you have bolded words in textbooks and a reason why your professors designed each class the way they did; notice that and find the bigger picture.
  3. Time-Management — Time is the one resource you will pay for later on. Become efficient in it and you will pay less. This means scheduling your time, honoring your commitments to yourself, saying “No” to more things and valuing your productivity over your emotions.
  4. How To Delay Gratification — The more you can do this the more freedom you have as you will be in control and your desires. Try to delay your breaks, shorten your time playing video games and stop browsing social media. Work hard now, delay what you can, and you will reap an exponentially greater amount of everything you sow.
