- You Must Own Your Choices — No one will know what is best for you, but you will not always be right. Things will turn out horribly sometimes and the only way to live a good life in spite of everything bad is to make sure you can stand behind the choices that you make.
- A Fully Lived Life Is Scary — The harder you go in life the more you can receive. You will gain more love, more joy, more success and more happiness, but you will also receive more pain, sorrow, frustration and despair. It is worth it, but it is scary and hard.
- The Best Choices Are Hard But Simple — You know what your best choice is. You just do not want to make it because it is hard to do. It will be painful, may require you to incur some losses, and is not easy by any means, but it is not complicated.
- Saying “Yes” Is Always Better — If you are unsure, default to a “Yes”. There are moments when the answer is clearly a “No”, but every time it is not just say “Yes”. This is especially true for the things you know you should do as well as the things that scare you.
- Love Is Hard — It requires a commitment from both people to create a truly loving relationship. This is not just a commitment to see it through the hard times together, but also a commitment to build, love, and improve upon what is. Love, much like a career…
