A Personal Guide to Dealing With Depressive Episodes
I have struggled with Depression (or depressive episodes) a lot in my life.
Even though I have read a ton of Self-Improvement, all the knowledge and logic in the world cannot always beat out the emotions that I felt.
Emotions are sometimes too powerful, random or uncontrollable.
So let me start this post by saying: It is incredibly common to feel sad and even depressed.
This is nothing unique to you, just like it was nothing unique to me. There is nothing wrong with me, nor was I that special or alone in my sadness.
That being said, you are special enough that your experience in this will be unique and different from my own.
It is therefore nearly impossible to give you advice that will specifically, accurately and immediately take care of your depression (which is why most therapists work with clients for months, if not years).
This means that the guide I am about to give you may not work for you, and why getting a Therapist is always the recommended choice, as they can design a path out of the sadness personal to you.
