Achieving The Impossible — How To Not Be Stopped By Limiting Beliefs
I remember calling my mother and telling her that I was going to take a break from college.
I wanted to pursue something that would allow me to help people right away; I wanted to be a coach.
My mother was furious with me when she heard about my decision.
She told me that I absolutely had to get a degree, that I was throwing my life away and that she could not believe how stupid I was being.
It was a lovely call…
Six months later I had only one client to show for all the work I’ve done.
My business was not going well and my entire family was filled with things to say.
Everyone told me it wouldn’t work, that I should just get a degree and a normal job, that I should stop being so stupid, and that I should quit this “nonsense”.
No one supported my decision at the time. At every family event I had to listen to the same conversation that led to a fight with my parents and had to explain to more and more people why I was doing what I was doing.
No one understood. Everyone thought I was throwing my life away.
To me, it was about taking my life into my own hands and doing it my way.
