You leave the rush of the world behind you as you open the door to your home after a hard day at work.
You throw your coat to the side half-heartedly and chuck your shoes off your feet, as no one else is around to care.
Right…
You’re alone.
The silence that you notice is eerie and presses down on you like a thick, heavy muck.
Slowly you make your way over to the couch and grab a hold of the TV remote; anything to distract you from the loneliness you feel.
When you are about to turn on the TV you stop.
