At What Age Did You Feel You Had Life All Figured Out?

I thought I really had life figured out when I was 6 years old. I was going to become an astronaut, explore new planets and just live on the constant move.

At age 8 that was all thrown overboard; I had a new life goal! I was going to become a Super-Saiyan (from Dragon Ball), fighting villains every day and just growing stronger.

At age 8.5 my parents told me that that wasn’t possible and that I should look for something more realistic so at age 9 I thought I would become a Marine Biologist that would figure out how to talk to Dolphins.

This lasted quite some time, but eventually that thought perished too.

I thought I would become an architect, a snowboard designer, psychologist, teacher, streamer, YouTuber and a Life Coach.

I thought I had life figured out at each of these points and thought at many points that I knew everything about relationships, careers, life, the universe, religion, philosophy and so on and so forth.

And, after all of that, I can say one thing with absolute certainty: I won’t ever have it all figured out.

I do not have life figured out now and I don’t pretend I do. I am a complete and utter beginner in life and feel like that’s how I’ll always be.
