Beat Procrastination: How To Start Doing Things Right Away

I know this has been said a million times, but the truth is: Just start.

Think about moments, situations or things that you do right away. Why do you do those without a second thought?

When it’s the start of your vacation and you have to go to the airport to catch your plane, you do not delay. You get there hours early even if it is very early in the morning.

At the start of the week, even after a rough Sunday, you still get up to get on work on time without a question, although with a few complaints maybe. But you still also find time to shower, brush your teeth and often time to eat a breakfast or grab a coffee.

And when it is something fun, something you enjoy, be it going to see a movie or the amusement park, you do not delay.

What is the difference?

Possible Differences:

  1. You do not Think about it — Often because you do not have the time, but otherwise because it does not matter or there is nothing to think about. Brushing your teeth, for instance, is just something you do. It does not require thought to start.
    Remember that thinking about it only creates opportunities for you to change your mind.
  2. It is a Must — In your mind, this is non-negotiable. There is just…
