Begin: How To Start On Your Journey Of Self-Improvement
3 min readAug 1, 2023
The only way to start is to start.
Sounds pretty self-explanatory in a way, and also rather redundant, but yet, here you are, still reading how to start and not having started.
Now, in a way you have never stopped developing yourself, just changed how you developed yourself.
In this sense there is no starting or stopping, just changing course.
That being said, if you do not know how to start on something specific, then your first step is to figure that out.
- Pick something to do — First of all, you must pick something. Not anything, but one single thing that you want to develop yourself at. This can be any number of things, but pick one for starters. Examples: Confidence. Charisma. Discipline. Happiness. Excitement. Accountability. Awareness. Etc.
- Commit to doing something trackable every day — If you want to learn more then commit to your learning and set some goal that you will achieve every day. Something easy would be to set a time-slot for learning every day in which you will only focus on learning about whatever you picked in step 1. Example: 1 hour of learning about confidence every day. (A timeslot for learning can be substituted for as long as you do not know something more practical/specific to do).
