Doing that may not seem like it will make you smarter in any other field, but when you consistently, massively, work on one thing the amount of things that change become monumental.

When someone becomes a Master Musician (for example) they will also have some, if not all, of these qualities:

• Massive Discipline — The Musician needs to be able to work consistently on their music for long periods of time every day and throughout the year. Many practice for 4 or more hours a day.
• Logical Thinking — Just by becoming a great Musician they will not make any money. They have to be creative and logical in the way they use their skill to even become known by the world. Sometimes this means thinking outside the box until you break through the noise.
