Break The Cycle — Why You Fail At Keeping Good Habits

Today is the day.

Yesterday you said tomorrow, and you’ve been saying that for quite some time, but today is finally the day when you will go running in the morning.

You’ve been waking up too late for far too long, and you’ve tried too often only to fail at being consistent with it: No more!

Starting today you will go running every day without fail.

You are totally serious about it and manage to get a good day of running in.

It feels fantastic!

Over the next few days the drive you had that day still pushes you to do the habit and it knocks the bad habit you had before out of the running.

You feel on track, good about yourself and like you can absolutely do it this time!

A week passes and you are still good to go! In fact, you are doing so well and have been so consistent that you allow yourself a little reward and stand up a little later the next day.

After all, it was no easy task to get up this early that often, and one day cannot hurt.

Another week passes this way. You are still going strong.

In the third week, however, the seriousness and drive starts to fade a little. Or rather, the bed has…
