Change Yourself: An Overthinkers Guide To Becoming A Better Version Of Yourself

Step 1: Start small. You are not going to change your entire character within a day or two; at least not truly. You can pretend, and fake who you want to be, but if you truly want to change the core of your being then take your time.

Step 2: Figure out who you want to become. Without a clear goal you will wander aimlessly, hoping to stumble upon something you agree with per chance. Figure out the exact person you want to become. To figure this out look at the situations that leave you the most frustrated and ask who you would have liked to be instead in that situation. Keep a record of this and add to it.

Step 3: Learn about each aspect you wrote down. When you have some time at the end of the day or week, research each characteristic or attribute you wrote down with the intention of finding a single tip, trick or piece of advice that you could try.

Step 4: IMPLEMENT! After finding that tip, trick or piece of advice set up a habit for the next 7 days to give it a test run. Come back at the end of the week and see if you adopted more of the desired characteristic or attribute. Then rinse & repeat.
