Compare The Right Way — How To Draw Power From Comparing Yourself Against Others
Comparison itself is not bad or good.
You are more than welcome to compare yourself to others, and you are more than welcome to compare your life to those of others as well, as long as you don’t run yourself into a lot of negative emotions while you do it.
The problem isn’t comparing yourself, it’s how you compare.
It’s fine if you compare your life to others and then become inspired to do more.
Sometimes seeing how others lead their lives makes you realize that there is more to life than what you are doing.
You can take a piece of their lives, of what they are doing, and become motivated to gain the same.
Not because you are lacking in any way, but because you could go further.
If you get excited and inspired in this way, and if it pushes you to act to create a better life for yourself, then by all means: COMPARE!
However, if you compare yourself and feel that you are not enough or that your life is not adequate, if you feel like you must do something to be valuable, then you are fighting a battle you can never win.
