Control Your Mind — The 7 Steps You Need To Gain Charge Of Your Every Thought

  1. Learn to Stop Thinking. You need to be aware enough of your thoughts that you can force yourself out of negative thought spirals, which most people are not able to do because they are simply not aware that they are stuck in a loop until it is too late. Whenever you notice negative thoughts: Stop. This teaches you that you have the ability to interact with your thoughts. You can go from there.
  2. Remind Yourself You Have A Choice. There is always a choice in everything you wish to think about. Think about a pink elephant. Now think about a duck. You can do this to yourself with any thoughts you wish to have. Remember: The thoughts you train have a higher chance of randomly appearing. Which thoughts are you training?
  3. Be Okay With Having No Thoughts. The best way to learn this is by meditation, that is what it trains you to do. Most of us are afraid of not thinking because we do not like spending time doing nothing because it forces us to look within. Learn to be okay being with yourself and you will be able to shut off the thoughts if things go from bad to worse. Right now you are addicted to thinking because it prevents you from having to look inward, even if that means having horrible thoughts.
  4. Get Into The Habit Of Thinking Positively. The world is pessimistic…
