Courage: The Most Common Regret Of Getting Older
I bet you have heard some form of this saying before: “Most people regret what they didn’t do more than what they did”.
Not doing things is the biggest, and most common, regret people face when they grow old.
When you grow older you understand that the things that used to be scary weren’t, and the things that used to matter so much become a bit pointless.
In light of that, it becomes hard to justify why you didn’t do the things you wanted to do.
You begin to realize just how many opportunities you missed along the way and how much you could have done if you were only a slight bit braver.
Many people keep themselves back out of fear, they are too scared to do something because they fear the consequences.
This results in a ton of the common regrets.
The regret of not asking that person on a date and never giving yourself a chance at that relationship.
The regret of not asking for a raise or looking for a different job, keeping the same job in the same career and not allowing yourself a better life.
The regret of not leaving your home to go on adventures and see the world.
