Chances are good that you enjoy at least one kind of pizza, but are also good that you do not enjoy at least one kind (Pineapple Pizza I’m looking at you).

Accepting that you enjoy certain foods or do not enjoy others is easy.

You just don’t like them.

It can be the taste, texture or combination of ingredients.

Whatever the reason, when it comes to food you understand that it is not your fault that you do not like them; your taste buds just do not work that way.

It’s now not your responsibility to change that you do not like these foods, forcing yourself to eat them until you feel good about them, yet when it comes to other things in the world that you don’t like, it almost feels as though you should.

We have to draw a big line here between certain meanings.

Accepting something does not necessitate any action or emotion; positive or negative.

You can accept something and not enjoy it (like you accept foods you do not like) and can still do nothing about it.

It is just an act of identifying and accepting what is.

And while some things can be changed, given enough time or effort, accepting what you enjoy and do not enjoy…
