Does Experiencing Hardship Actually Make You Stronger?
A person who doesn’t learn anything from their experiences will not get as far, as fast, in life as someone who learns something from every experience they have.
It doesn’t matter if these experiences were positive or negative, if it was a gift or a hardship, or if it was enjoyable or miserable; Every experience can be learned from.
That means that a person who has only encountered great things in life can be further than the ones that only had hardships, if, and only if, the person took some time to learn from them.
Now, while this holds true for all of us, most of us sadly do not learn from the good experiences in life.
We want to live life, not think about it.
We want to enjoy the time we have, not spend it analyzing everything.
We want life to be given to us, not take responsibility for it.
It is for this reason we do not learn from the positive experiences, as we do not make a point of learning.
Most of us only take the time to sit down and think about what we have experienced when we are forced to.
When things get too bad to ignore, when we are crying our hearts out and slamming our fists in the wall.
