Happiness Made Simple: Feel Happy Being You

This is very simple.

Happiness is no Mystery; It is a choice.

The problem is that most of us relinquish that control, saying that happiness is but a fleeting emotion that either is there or isn’t.

Many people will disagree with happiness being a choice because it puts the ball in their court.

If I told you right now to do something that makes you happy, and focus on being happy during that entire time, would you not end up happy?

If I gave you a million bucks to do it, could you?

That being said, if you only did things that made you happy, your entire life, would it not be an amazing life?

And even if you did not do only things that made you happy, if I were to ask you to focus on becoming happy while working, doing fun things at work or trying to become happy no matter what, could you do it?

How about if I gave you a million bucks for that task?

Now, it may not be easy, but for a million bucks most of us would try.

The thing is, you would know exactly where to start as well.

Working out, eating healthy, getting off the computer, phone and TV, learning, improving, spending time with friends or making friends, reading, meditating, journaling, affirmations, etc.

You know that these things help.

None of them create happiness on their own, but for a million bucks you would definitely try them all together to see if they can make you happy if you combine them.

That is exactly the choice you need to make.

Happiness starts with the one choice to be happy, and from there you commit yourself to the thousands and millions of little actions that help.

But, if you never chose to be happy, if you never want to take that responsibility, you will let all those tiny things that matter go.

That being said, there is a trick to it.

Find happiness in the task itself, and if you cannot find it, then do something that will create joy from it.
