- No one is coming to save you. Most people do not know you need saving, and the ones that do are likely too busy leading their own life. If you do not do the work yourself, no one will.
- You are not owed anything. No matter how much good you do or how many bad things you suffer through, the world does not owe you anything. There is no cost-reward system. Meaning that you have to put in the work until you get what you want, not until you feel you deserve it.
- Bad things will always happen. You cannot prevent that forever and always. Bad things will happen, whether or not you deserve them. Learn to be stronger than them, or how to deal with them, rather than attempting to prevent something that cannot be prevented.
- Happiness never lasts. Do not hold on to it. Appreciate it when it is there, let it go when it wants to go, and move on. In trying to hold onto it longer than you should you actually become unhappier than you would be otherwise.
- You cannot change your past. Try as you might, it will always be what it was. Own it, accept it, learn from it and move on to better things. You should not forget your past, but do not live your entire life bound by it either. It is what it is, but it does not have to play into this moment at all.
