Mistakes are often good choices made in suboptimal situations that lead to unforeseen outcomes.
It is rare that we go into a situation and purposefully decide on a certain, negative outcome and act accordingly.
Most of the time we are on the right track, but we simply do not have all the information as to what will happen when we make a choice.
We cannot see into the future.
