Here’s What People Underestimate Most Often

People often underestimate how much time they really have in a week, and thereby, how much they can actually get done.

“I don’t have the time” has become more than an excuse. It has become an accepted justification that removes all responsibility from you.

But, the truth is; we do have time!

Don’t believe me? Try this:

First, write down how many hours you are actually at work. For our example we will use a 40 hour workweek.

Then add your commute to and from work, and add another 3 hours a day for bathroom breaks and meals. Together that may be 4 hours a day, which adds another 28 hours a week to your week.

Then add another 8 hours a day for sleep a day, or another 56 hours a week.

Finally, let’s add another 2 hours for family time and another hour for alone time every day.

This puts us at a total of 145 hours a week, which means, with all that we have added already, we still have 23 hours a week left that are unaccounted for!

This is time you are not spending asleep, are not spending with your family, eating or at work.

The Question is: Where is this time going?

Obviously this time is going somewhere, but if you do not know where then it is time you could have that you are simply not taking.

And the number we arrived it is a very lenient number that includes you eating for 3 hours a day and watch a movie every day with your family.

Your personal number may be different and sometimes even higher!

The Point is that most of you We always think we are short on time simply because we do not use our time as effectively as we could. have time, you are simply not aware of it and are using your lack of awareness as an excuse not to take responsibility. Control your time and you will find out that you have more time in the week than you know what to do with.

We waste 5 minutes there, another 10 there, and maybe another hour over here, and, just like that, we have wasted years of our lives.

5 minutes a day, added up over 10 years, is over 300 hours that you are just wasting away.

You do have enough time for everything you want to do, but you have to control it.

And, let’s think about another complaint people have: Do you have time to reach your goal?

Assuming the goal takes the magic 10,000 hours, if you use the 23 hours you have left a week to work on your dream it would take you slightly over 8 years to reach your dream.

Is that really too long and too much for your dream?!

Think about what you could do with the rest of your life if you got it done in those 8 years! You could live out the remainder of your life thereafter having what you wanted to have for so long.

And, if we are being honest, it probably won’t take that long if you really try.

Stop saying you don’t have time and start using your time more effectively!

If you don’t pay attention to your time, it will slip right through your fingers.

But when you do pay attention you won’t believe how much you can get done in the time you have right now.
