Hit The Reset Button — 14 Tips That Refresh Your Mind During A Long Day

  1. Take A Walk Outside — Fresh air does wonders, but more so just the change of environment.
  2. Give Your Mind A Rest — Do not allow it to engage at all and just sit there quietly for a couple of minutes. Your mind is a muscle that also needs total rest sometimes.
  3. Break A Sweat — Sometimes taking a break is not helpful as your body has begun to go into sleep mode from inactivity. Get the blood flowing again: Do some jumping jacks, take a short jog, dance to your favorite music, etc.
  4. Spend Time Engaging In Opposite Ways — Logically solved Math problems for a while? Then take the next 10 minutes to draw!
  5. Excite Yourself — Watch a hilarious video, plan something you will really look forward to or fake the excitement until you feel it. Excitement carries motivation and engages your mind differently.
  6. Choose To Focus — For the rest of this post, really choose to focus on the words written here. Try to hyper-focus and be as attentive as you can be. There will be a noticeable difference, even if you are tired. This is the power of choice.
  7. Smile More — Smiling releases endorphins. Endorphins make us feel good. Feeling good makes us want to get more done.
