How I Found My Passion… Sort Of

I thought of becoming a Biologist for the longest time, specifically a Marine Biologist who works with Dolphins and Whales.

Honestly, I thought I had it all figured out by the time I was 12 years old.

From that point I did everything I could to get ahead. I studied a lot, got great grades, and applied for dozens of scholarships.

By the time I entered college I had already 3 semesters of college credits.

It was at around that time, however, that I realized most of Biology is repetition.

It’s the same experiment done over and over and over again to produce enough significant results to be able to make a statement.

The more I learned about what this job would actually be like, the more my “passion” dwindled, and after just one semester of college I dropped my Biology Major.

Now, since I was so sure of what I wanted to do until that point, and since I had invested so much into that path it crushed me when I realized it wasn’t what I wanted to do.

All of a sudden the plan I had for the last 7 years just disappeared and I had no idea what to do next.

I took a semester long break during which time I only had one objective: figuring out what my next step was… I spent the next 3 months playing…
