How I Recharge: ‘Me’ Time Spent Wisely

I have two different ways to spend my me time, depending on what I need and how much time I have.

I’ll divide them into True Me Time and Recharging Me Time.

Let me start with the latter.

I am an extroverted introvert (to my understanding at least); someone that enjoys social time a lot, and who finds it necessary to be extroverted to an extend, but who has limited social energy overall and will get frustrated and agitated if there is no alone time.

As an extroverted introvert I need my me time, but it’s sometimes hard to create pockets of this time.

With friends, work, a partner, hobbies, and all the things that go haywire in the week, there’s often not much time to truly spend with me.

The more time I am with others the shorter my fuse, and I become agitated, angry and annoying to those around me.

To fight this I create pockets of Me Time for the sole purpose of recharging.

This is often a very small recharge, and is just supposed to put enough fuel in my tank not to be agitated.

The issue is that, as an introvert at heart, this happens quite frequently, including in the middle of longer parties or events.
