How I Would Maximize My Evening If I Got Home Late Every Day

- Take a 5-minute rest — It has probably been an insanely long and difficult day so I would give myself a well deserved rest. Either sitting outside or on my couch without looking at any screens and just going over the day in my head
- Focus on learning instead of producing — I have produced all day at this point and the day is coming to an end so let me take it there by reading a book, looking at some interviews or listening to a podcast. Something nice and relaxing is what I need now.
- At 8 p.m. write down what happened that day — Journal what happened, what went well, and what didn’t, as well as how to make it better tomorrow. Writing down the actual steps will help me to take them the next day and reviewing the day as a whole puts light back on the things that happened instead of just letting them pass by.
- Plan for tomorrow — What are the 3 things I must get done tomorrow? How will I get them done and when will I do them? Putting your intention and focus on what matters for the next day is an easy way to have an easy morning.
- Prepare for the day ahead — I lay out all my clothes, clean up my bedroom of any unwanted things (dirty laundry, dirty dishes, etc.) and even put out what I need for breakfast the next day. I have an incredibly difficult time getting up most…
