How The Internet Changed My Life

It is a place that changed all lives forever, although some definitely more than others.

It gives knowledge, success, freedom, friendships and joy.

It can open a door to love, can tell otherwise untold stories, and can even create art.

I am talking about the Internet.

Many people villainize the internet, making it out to be a time-sink, money-grab and black hole of energy and joy, but it remains nothing but a tool.

People said this about books in the early ages and about everything else they could make a villain in their lives, mostly because they refused to take responsibility.

The internet is a place that can open millions of doors, but those include doors that take away time, energy and joy.

It is a place of near limitless possibilities, just like life itself, but one that you have to use in the right way to make the most of it.

For me, it definitely has caused a drain on my life and my daily energy through video games, YouTube shorts, and certain meme websites, but it has also been the catalyst for so much I hold dear nowadays.

Through the internet I reconnected with an old friend that has turned into the love of my life, I have been able to make a living being completely remote…
