But he started writing while living in the house of his girlfriends parents.

He wrote in her bedroom, on a tiny laptop, with a desk so small nothing else fit on it.

Eminem did not make his first success until 27 years old, until which he worked multiple jobs at minimum wage to support his daughter as a single parent, not even having enough to buy her Christmas presents most years, during all of which he still continued to work on his rap.
