How To Cope With A Lack Of Motivation
The number one way is to say “Screw it”, and do it anyway.
The truth is you will ALWAYS have moments where you feel unmotivated.
If you cannot work while being unmotivated you should reconsider why you are doing that work in the first place and whether its worth it to struggle this much for something you may have never wanted.
Why do you do what you do?
If you want something then you have to put that above your emotions and feelings and do it in spite of how you may feel in the moment.
Most of the time this is because you have a better, greater reason than the discomfort of the moment, but sometimes you lack that.
Stop relying on the feeling of motivation, trust that you picked this path for a reason, and ignore all the excuses not to do what you know you should.
This is a habit you must create.
Which means, the best way to cope with being extremely unmotivated is to ignore the lack of motivation.
Get active in spite of your lack of passion or drive and put the actions above how you feel.
Usually it is action that creates motivation, not the other way around.
