  • Be Comfortable With Yourself — You have to know yourself better than anyone else around.
    • What buttons can be pushed to make you angry or happy? What do you like and dislike? What will you stand up for time and time again?
    • The more you know yourself the easier it is to stay grounded when other people try to hurt you.
    • Example: THEM: “You are an asshole.” YOU: “I know! I was there! Thanks for letting me know though.”
  • Stop Expecting — The more you expect of others the more disappointment it can bring to you.
    • However, if you simply stop expecting anything then you will not put any pressure on others nor will you be disappointed no matter what they do.
    • In doing this you also remove the expectations you have of yourself, and you will not be disappointed with you whenever something goes wrong.
  • Be Open-Minded — Here’s the truth you should take to heart: YOU MAY BE WRONG!
    • Your Religious beliefs may be wrong, your view of the world may be wrong, even what you perceive to be real may be wrong.
    • You can be wrong at everything so stop putting so much pride in being right.
    • Be open-minded to the ideas of others, know you can be wrong, and you will know more than everyone around:

“I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing.” — Socrates
