How To Find Out What Your True Values & Beliefs Are

No one can give you their values.

Even if I tell you mine right now, or those of the most successful people out there, if you adopt someone else’s values that will just lead you to try to live someone else’s life, which isn’t going to work all too well since you are not them.

You might become more like them, but unless the values are your own you will always be unhappy.

That being said, you can determine your values quite easily.

It is important that you follow each step before reading the next one. Take your time.

All in all, it might take 30–60 minutes.

But that’s okay if you get your values and beliefs afterwards.

Take the hour out of your busy day and do this. You won’t regret it:

1. Grab a Piece of Paper and a pen. Got them? I told you to only keep reading once you followed each step! Get them now if you haven’t already. (Or open a document on your computer).

2. Start writing down everything you want. Every sentence should start the same way: “I want…”. There should be no explanations or justifications afterwards. Just the pure want. Do this for 10 minutes. Do not stop before then and keep writing. Jot down whatever comes to your mind, no matter how…
