How to Increase Intelligence: The Smart Way

Before I talk about how to boost intelligence we first have to define the term “Intelligence”.

Intelligence is a very fickle term. Most of us think of the IQ (Intelligence Quotient) when talking about Intelligence as a whole.

We think the IQ measures ones intelligence and is therefore a good indicator of ones Intelligence.

Therefore, increasing your IQ would also increase your intelligence, make you smarter, more versatile in how you use your brain, generally a better student and likely more successful.

But this is not at all what intelligence is, and it is not how the IQ works either.

Your IQ is a number that is used in Psychology as a predictor of how well you might do in school. Nothing more.

It is used to indicate success in the general term, but does not make you smart, dumb or is a judge of nearly all the possible careers out there.

It is a general indicator at best. If you have a higher IQ you are more likely to handle the school system better than others.

And while this correlates to your intelligence and success, it is but a small portion of both.
