How To Motivate Yourself To Do Things You Do Not Want To Do
There will always be stuff we do not want to do but must do anyway.
If we treat those things as these big, dark, scary tasks, if we keep telling ourselves how much we hate doing them and how much they will suck, they will suck even more.
Overthinking the situation will not help it one bit, and, instead, will just keep you thinking negative thoughts.
That being said, in every situation there is also always something good you can see if you just look for it.
Why not zone in on this positive aspect no matter how far fetched it may seem? For thinking about that also won’t change a thing but will at least get you to remain in a positive state of mind.
Whenever I have to do something I do not want to do, which happens quite a lot, I focus on what the results of this thing may be.
Even in the worst possible situation, there is still a lesson you can gain.
Every bad example is an example of how not to do something.
Everything you HAVE to do, but do not want to, is an opportunity for a lot of things.
An opportunity to…
- … learn.
- … find joy in everything.
- … practice gratitude.
