How To Overcome Envy For Those Who Are More Successful

They are not you.

These people that are around you have not even remotely lived a similar life.

While they may be more successful there are tons of things they’ve missed.

Remember that every person only has 24 hours in a day and no matter where you are, no matter how successful you are, you cannot get any more than that.

Every year has the same amount of time in it and right now every person is breathing, living, and acting at the same pace you are, the only difference is what you’re doing in that time.

That has lead to different experiences, and, therefore, a different life.

Look, the truth is you chose to do what you did in the time available to you.

Whether or not that has lead you to where you want to be is a completely different story.

Even now, in this very moment, you are choosing to do what you deem best.

In hindsight, you may have said that things should have been different, that you should have spent your time more on your skills or on your success, but at that moment it was what you wanted to do most, for better or for worse.

Now this may not add anything to your life later, but it is what you want to do the most.

Remember that we are making choices all the time, the successful ones and the unsuccessful ones.

All these choices are based on what we deem best.

Now, a lot of us may not think about our choices a lot, or may not work terribly hard, but we all live the exact same amount, objectively speaking, in our time here.

Whether or not you spent that time wisely and with a lot of quality depends solely on your point of view.

Of course you could go around, working your ass off day in and day out, you can learn to be productive, play a dozen instruments, learn a hundred languages and build up business after business after business.

If that is what you want to do, go right ahead.

But ask yourself “To what extent?” What will this do for you?

Right now you are doing what you deem best and what you deem fun.

If you, however, want to gain something different going forward, then you must change your choices now.

It may not have led you to success, but it has led you to some great friends, experiences and moments that no one will ever life through, for better and for worse.

Just know that you are doing the best you know how, and that success is not always everything.
