How To Truly Achieve Your Goals: An 8-Step Plan To Success

  1. Define Your Goals — What do they specifically mean to you? Just saying you want to be rich and famous is not good enough. Make it so clear it forms an image or a scene in your head. We all have different goals. Stop waiting for others to define your goals for you.
  2. Set Up A Clear Line — Make an objective line by which you can measure your success. What do you need to achieve precisely and exactly to be able to say you reached that goal? How else do you know when you are successful?
  3. Give Yourself A Time Limit — When do you believe you can accomplish that goal? Write yourself an exact date; day, month and year. Once you have this double the time expectation and half the estimate. Shoot for the goal in half the time but be okay with it if it takes twice as long. This will keep you on track while pushing your limits.
  4. ‘Divide & Conquer’ — Split your main goal into smaller sub goals. These goals should be divided as follows to make it easier:
    Year — What do you have to achieve this year to reach your goal by when you said you would?
    Month — What do you have to achieve this month to reach your year-goal?
    Week — What do you have to achieve this week to reach your month-goal?
    Day — What do you have to achieve today to reach your week-goal?
