“I Don’t Feel Like It” — How To Always Do What You Need To Do

I know what I need to do. I know it is good for me in the end. But I still cannot do it because I do not see the results. How do I still do it?”

I have worked with dozens of clients on this exact problem before and it’s not that hard of a problem to solve.

If you know what you need to do then put more power into believing yourself than you do into your emotions.

So many people need their emotions to be in line with what they do before they can do it.

They need to feel good to do what they know they should, need to feel motivated to do the hard work and need to be happy before they go out and do anything.

If their emotions are not there they do not do anything.

This is where their knowledge of what they should do distances itself from the true understanding of it.

For example, you know full-well that when you read jokes you will be more likely to laugh.

That’s not rocket science.

Yet when you feel bad, sad, angry or frustrated you do not use this knowledge.

In that moment you do not believe in your past self that gave you this information enough to actually go through with it.
