“If a man who cannot count finds a four-leaf clover, is he lucky?” — Stanislaw J. Lec

&

“The best way out is always through.” — Robert Frost

I have thought a lot about the first one through Gratitude Meditations and a lot about the second one with clients.

For the first one: We all have four-leaf clovers in our lives... many...many... MANY four-leaf clovers. But we only see see a handful of them and count the leaves on even less.

For the second one: If the room around you is on fire, if your world is falling apart, if your life is miserable, would you stay in that burning room and cower in a corner, or would you run?

Many people stop, and many more slow down as things get tougher... but when things get tough is when you should run the fastest.
