If Ignorance Is Bliss, Then Why Do We Seek Knowledge?
Children are ignorant but happy. They believe the world revolves around them because they do not have the capacity to think about more than what happens outside themselves.
Some people, but very few, are like this as well when they grow up.
It is not that they do not care about the world but rather that their minds simply cannot comprehend what is going on.
It is in changing from childhood to adulthood that most of us loose this childish innocence and learn that the world does not revolve around us anymore.
Wars, Famine, Racism, Sexism, Oppression, and many more. We know about these topics now and removing them from our minds is not possible.
But we are also at a point where we do not know enough to be happy either.
We do not know how to become rich, what it takes to truly be happy, and how to succeed in the things we start.
We are right in the center of this knowledge curve, and definitely unhappy where we are.
The only real way we have in front of us is trying to learn more in the hopes that we learn enough to be able to deal with the knowledge we’ve obtained to then still be happy.
