If You Could Rid The World Of One Thing, What Would It Be?
This was a very interesting question I came across recently and I wanted to share my 2 cents here, for most would say they would change so many things about the world, I have a bit of a different take.
I could, for example, say I wanted to get rid of the judgements humans have towards each other, but then I’d also eliminate those moments where we find out who is friend and who is foe.
When we cease to judge we cease to qualify, and therefore get into a lot more dangerous situations. Isolating just certain parts of those judgements is impossible
I could also say I wanted to get rid of the institution of religion, or government, or certain aspects thereof, but both are also part of this world that were created for the good of everyone here. Eliminating either will lead to many people in this world being lost.
I could say I wanted to get rid of starvation, war, death, thirst, and all of the things that kill thousands and millions of people every year, but the truth is that all those are also aspects of how we shaped our world and would likely come again.
I believe that everything we have is something we need to develop further. Getting rid of any one of them, as great as that may seem in theory, will likely lead to more problems than it solves.
