If you talk to any animator they will tell you that faces are the hardest to get right.

Faces are just very very complex, so much so that our brain REALLY struggles with making any up that look real. Even if you look into AI merged faces, most will look off somehow, with only a random assortment, somehow hitting the right spot to appear real.

I mentioned this in another comment, but it was my Biopsychology and Neuropsychology professors that said something about how our brain would form & recognize faces, and the levels and dimensions this would take to create one are just too complicated for anyone to be able to do. That's the gist at least.
