Improve Your Reading Concentration With These Quick Tips

When you want to improve your concentration it is mostly about your mindset while you read.

Thinking about certain things as you are reading can be very beneficial, such as:

  • Reading as though you will get a Million Dollar Idea — Somewhere in this book is a sentence that will make you a millionaire in the blink of an eye. Read as though that were true. Look for the piece of gold in the pages!
  • Imagining you have to give a Speech on this Tomorrow — Imagine that in 24 hours you have to give a 2 hour speech on what you are reading right now in front of 200 people.

But there are also other ways to improve your concentration. First let’s take a look at your surroundings:

  • Keep Noises to a Minimum — Turn off your phone, reduce the music to a lower volume or turn it off completely and set a time aside in which you will not be disturbed. This is your time to read. Use it!
  • Stay in Quiet Places — Sit in the corner in a coffee shop or get comfortable on your sofa at home. Put your feet up, and then get fully involved in what you are reading.
  • Clean your Environment — If the place you are reading in is a mess there will be constant thoughts disrupting your flow. Get clean and stay organized and your thoughts…
